Lewis's Farm Blog

Yesterday I went to the farm I am almost finished with the vegtable patch. I have planted the carrots and smoothed the soil I also made markers to put in the vegtable patch so we knew what was growing there. I also sectioned it off so we will get less confused. When we had lunch Dylan saw a Hornet that was hibernating in the log, Brandon screamed and hid behind me. Mr.Fenner got this metal thing and he got it inside it, Mr.Fenner let it go in the field and it flew away. Then it was farm at the farm part we fed the lambs. They were tiny! We also let the smaller lambs in with the bigger lambs. There was one lamb with a black face and legs I named him Speedy because he was running everywhere and jumping over the other lambs. We also named the lamb with the big eyebrows Max. We didn't know why though I just thought of it on the spot. We also went to count how many there were in the field I cannot remember how many lambs there were that well, I think it was nineteen lambs and twelve sheep. We also were making a pond at the farm part.

When I went to the farm I did forest school. First when I got to forest school I started on the vegtable patch straight away. It did take a long time and it was all I did but it was really fun because I was working really hard because I had a splinter in my finger and I didn't notice until we had lunch. When we had lunch we actually had it down at the forest school area. I didn't finish the vegtable patch I wanted to stay at forest school so I could finish the vegtable patch. I did it just in time for the farm. When I did the farm work we fed the lambs and brought the goats back. One of the calfs had escaped so Matt tried to get it back in when he thought he had it in we thought they were all going to escape but only one extra calf escaped so Matt had to put two calfs back in. He did in the end.
